Lagos Receives Commonwealth Queen’s Baton.
The Lagos State Government is set to receive Queen's Baton ahead of the 2010 Commonwealth Games to be hosted by India.
According to the State's Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Social Development, Prince Ademola Adeniji- Adele, the state would receive the baton this Sunday as the Baton which would arrive in Abuja this Friday would be received at the Murtala Mohammed Airport, Lagos.
The State's Commissioner for Sports, will receive the baton and thereafter presented it to His Excellency, Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN, at the State House.
Queen’s Baton will then be conveyed around the City of Lagos in the State’s double Decker buses.
The event will be rounded off with a Cocktail at the State House, Ikeja.
